Legislative Changes effective January 1, 2016
Governor Brown signed SB 337 (Pavley) on October 6, 2015 which makes the following changes effective January 1, 2016 are:
- BPC Code 3501(5) – changed the definition of Supervising Physician
- BPC Code 3501(12) – added definition of Medical Records Review Meeting
- BPC Code 3502 – revised the way medical records are reviewed between the supervising physician and surgeon and the physician assistant
- BPC Code 3502.1 – revised the way controlled substance medical records are reviewed and countersigned by the supervising physician and surgeon.
